Why?

Why is there Love, hate, emotions? its not just a human instinct, its a life instinct, if you think about it, emotions are our greatest hope and power. but it works against us, making us blind to truth, making us weak. but what if we didnt have emotions? what would the world be like then? would we be able to do the things we do today, will art and insiration be non existant? i say its better to have emotions although many people say they can deal without. because without emotions there would be no reason for life. everything is inspired by emotions.
