440 would be pretty sweet up in the mountains cuz of the torque....but ud have to get a big lug track and maybe convert it to a 136 incher instead of a 121

440's are pretty good up in the mountains, because of the elevation you dont even need to run race gas, well maybe a 50/50 of 110 and 92. do not put a long track on it because the 440 comes stock with like 110HP and you lose lots of power as you move up in elevation.

no man, you'd have to put a 800 mod in , and obv. play with ur jet needle and main jets to have that extra crisp. all 440 sno pro models from (F-chassis)02- 08 are stock 13'' wide x 128'' long x 1.75 paddle height.  they would never make it up those hills, 440 class can only hit around 150 no bigger for jumps, not enough power so climbing in powder, you'd be screwed. . i know some may dis-agree but im just speaking of what i have try'd and what other riders have told me (sledporn, sledcrew, braaap pack)
go big or go home
its either all or nothing!
pin the throttle and dont look back!

I must agree the 13" wide track doesnt cover enough snow youd just be diggin trenches. now out on the flats with a lot of powder  the 440 would be a shitload of fun

I have a 600 mod sno-pro & I live in the mountains. I think the 440 would be a bit underpowerd, but I run the stock 128" track on mine <it's no mountain sled but it does o.k.
