i was out today, and being that im in eastern ontario, we havn't seen snow like this for a few years,
i managed to crank a culvert with my left ski,.. i've ridin that spot for a long time but as i was getting up to it, i thought that i was over to the left to much and as soon as that went though my mind, i was over the handle bars on my back.
i thgouth i broke my knee when itr hit the bars but i manged to walk it off with some vulgar language.

the slde fared out allright at first inspection other then a big slice on the inside of my left ski but i'll have to get a straight egde out and measurin tape and make sure the geometry is still good...

has anyone ever done this,..

Im guilty of this offense also... but one of my friends pulled one better. Last winter while he was ridin to the gas station he nailed a culvert with his right ski anr ripped jus about everything from that side of the sled except for his swing arm.  not fun ill tell you that much..

well,. it's been in my shop for a couple hours since it happened so it had a chance to drip off,.. and other then the slice in the ski and some scrapes on the control arms and spindle everything looks fine,..
but fuck, i might have to take a run to the hospital cause my knee has popped a few times since,..

but hey,.. the sleds fine so thats all that matters... lol,  just have to get my father-in-law to plastic weld that tear in the ski so it's not noticable

lol.. thats like my old 75 TNT 250 single that i had when i was ten, the muffler broek offand i tied it in place on the pipe with a coat hanger just to keep riding, it broke a few days later and melted thought the gas line.. lol.. then the throttle stuck open on me, hit a bump, fell off and it went through a fence almost got hit my a few cars on the road, down through the ditch, another fance a part of a corn field before i found it up a tree with the track still spinning...

i miss those old junkers that you could just tear the hell out of and laugh every minute of it

Twice, and it hurts! The 1st time I did it, my brother was on the back and smashed his face into my helmet.  I have a better one for you.  My old man and me were racing through some woods, and were from MN so there is lots of creeks and lakes.  Anway were hauling ass and my jumps this ditch ( pretty wide but he cleared it)  no problem.  He was on his Indy 400 I forget the yeare but it was a light sled.  I had barrowed my grandfater's sled wich was a 1991 Skidoo Formula Plus Long track 2 up seat, basically a TANK!  I thought if I could get enogh speed I could make it.  I was wrong.  Hit the ice and the right ski went through.  It stoped the sled and Och! I went through the wind sheild, but not befor blasting my legs against the handle bars.  The trailing arm on the sled was toast, Grandpa was pissed, and my legs were brused for almost to months.  Ohyeah the old man laughed his ass off
