Hey anyone out there got any ideas why my 99 PS 700 would start and idle for a few seconds and then die consistently everytime.  It started doing it the last time i went riding it would just bog out and finally it died and i had to get pulled out by a polaris. Ouch that hurt.  Anyway any help would be appreciated.

sounds like your carbs need to be cleaned.
i would suggest cleaning your carbs and puttin new plugs in it.
you could also check your fuel filter and see if its clogged.

it's possible you have a broken reed and it is dumping to much fuel in the cylender, also the stator's are a poor desing and like to break a pedal off now and then causing electrical problems check your reeds if the bottom pedal is broken it will flud out and stall
