so after 3 months, i finally have occasion for a new blog entry, that being a totally kickass may long weekend! Sunday was spent at the waterpark in west edmonton mall, followed by steaks and many many bottles of beer at my friend's cabin. Highlights include drunken frisbee/badminton, jumping into the lake, almost killing myself with a firework, and of course, waking up with marker all over my face, arms and chest, even though i was NOT passed out, i was just sleeping. anyone else who had a good may long, i wanna hear about it!

I can understand why NFL fans make a big deal about the big game, obviously is the one game that the whole season has been leading up to. On the other hand, people who haven't watched a game or even checked a score in the paper get excited about it, which is what I don't get. People have tivo so they don't have to watch annoying commercials, yet a large part of the tv audience tunes in to the game just for the ads. I was one of the people who only cared about the halftime show, just cause the stones rock. But then there's the people (like my mom) who pretend to actually care about the game. For a non-football fan (like my mom) there's absolutely nothing special about this particular game, other than the hype behind it and the celebration at the end. Anyways, thats why I hate the superbowl. :)
I rode a sled for the first time today. why the hell did I not do that till now?? those things f*cking go! I had the biggest grin on my face after that first little stretch. It definitely made up for the otherwise shi*tty day.
today was a very good day. I went to the rink and played hockey for nearly 3 hours. They had just flooded it and I had the whole place to myself for most of the morning, got some quality practice time in! I then went home for a quick lunch, then out to the toboggan hill for a little jibbing with some friends. we got some pretty good snow last night for the first time in about a month. Now I just get to sit around my house and watch hilarious cartoons tonight. Does it get any better?

A few friends and I went to the casino randomly tonight, I won 40 bucks on the slots. If I can't get into engineering, I think I'll just make a career as a slot jockey. oh yes.
I was still sick as shi*t, but I still managed to drag myself out for new years eve. I can't believe I made it till midnight, never mind 3am!
The bar was fun and everyone had a good time, except for when some dude jacked our booth by puking in it, then he and some other dude pretty much passed out in it for the rest of the night. after we exited the building, I saw some really f*cked up shi*t.
The next people to go thru the out door were a couple guys who had been fighting. A violent struggle with the cops/bouncers ensued. It also included some girl who took a swing at a cop getting her face shoved into the street. Lovely eh?
There was a very large girl at the train station who pissed herself and passed out right when we got there.
Some tough guy punched a glass door after a paramedic told him to go away.
All that in about half an hour... I slept till 4 today. Happy new year!

I had my secret santa gift exchange with my friends last night. I got the green day dvd, its so awesome!!! brings back good memories of when i saw them live. I think my goal in life is to attend a massive outdoor show like that. That would be unforgetable! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Flames did a little 3-0 ass kicking on the bruins last night. Took a week off and didn't miss a beat! Kipper is god. I see that the sens are back in ass kicking mode, laying a lickin on the crappy leafs. funny how they had so much trouble with the west... Today is gonna be another good day cause I'm gonna go play some more hockey, and that can't be bad. I am sooo in full hockey mode right now. hockey hockey hockey.

The my chemical romance show was cooool. some shi*t band opened for them, but then thrice also opened. they were much better than the first act. Gerard is creepy and his pants are too tight. The rhythm guitarist spits a lot. The bassist has scary boots. I was happy when they played "you know what they do to guys like us in prison". That song needs a shorter name. It doesn't come close to comparing with Green Day or the Rolling Stones, but all in all it was a good time with good music!

As predicted, saturday f*cking rocked. Rode hard, especially for the first time out. I even hit some things that I didn't touch in midseason last year. Ate shi*t pretty hard on the last run though when I was totally caught off guard by the size of a particular drop. Upon returning home, there was a party in a friends garage-not as lame as it sounds, trust me-where I consumed much more alcohol than I had originaly planned and also got much more cake in my eye than I would have liked (it was a birthday party) As a result, I can barely move today.

saturday is going to rock so hard! First day off in almost 3 weeks, heading up to sunshine for the first ride of the season, then back in time for a friend's 18th birthday kegger! gonna be off the hook. new site is pretty cool.
soooo, the rolling stones concert was unbelievably amazing!! I was so pissed off when my friend and I waited in line for half an hour or so to get in the side door, then our tickets wouldn't scan properly, they made us go stand in line agian at the main entrance and go to guest services. When we finally got to guest services, my mood flipped completely when they told us that the stage wasn't really visible from our current seats, so they were moving us... to the first row right at the side of the stage!! We were sooo close that the girl behind us was able to toss her bra onto the stage. Mick caught it like it was just a reflex. It was awesome! They played all the songs I was really looking forward to and I'm gonna be talking about it for quite some time.

sooo, I have yet more evidence why the Flame's rookie tank Dion Phaneuf is awesome. Dropped the gloves for the first time against Bill Guerin and totally kicked his ass! The kid is a machine. If I was a woman I would want him to have my babies.
